Defiance Arkbreaker DLC Detailed

Posted Fri, Nov 22, 2013 by Martuk

Yesterday Trion announced that the upcoming Arkbreaker DLC for Defiance would launch on December 10th, 2013. In addition to that announcement, Trion also revealed more details about the upcoming second DLC to the Defiance saga that will feature new story, weapons, and a new way to fight arkfalls.

One of the big points of the Arkbreaker DLC is the expansion of the Defiance story, which will task players with acquiring a new ark-brain interface before the Dark Matter faction. The ark-brain will open up new technology options from arkfalls that players will soon be able to call down to earth. This feature sounds akin to how RIFT’s Planar tears work, where players can force open a rift at a tear. But Trion’s description doesn’t go quite far enough to explain how exactly they function.

Arkbreaker also includes an assortment of new weapons, cosmetic items, and a new challenge with the Volge Warmaster, a boss designed for 20 players and on a 7 minute timer. So be sure to put an end to him before the time runs out. Otherwise he’ll teleport back to his ship, leaving you with an empty loot bag.

Defiance’s Arkbreaker DLC launches on December 10th, 2013. You can read more about the paid and free DLC bits on the Defiance website.
