One of the more interesting aspects of Defiance is how it allows the game world to sometimes overlap with the show world. Thus far those overlaps have been relatively mild, but Defiance recently wrapped up its second game contest to allow one player to have their character featured within the show.
The first contest, Most Wanted, concluded in June with player Zachary being the winner to have a portrait of his character featured in an upcoming episode of the show. The most recent contest tested players to become one of 12 winners through gameplay, who would then be voted on by the community. That list was narrowed down to five and backstories were written. From those five, one remained as the winner and that character will appear in Defiance during Season 2.
