PvP Finally Comes to Diablo III

Posted Wed, Feb 13, 2013 by Martuk

Diablo III released nearly 10 months ago without any option for PvP. Plans to implement the Arena PvP system were made to launch post-launch, but those plans were further delayed in December when the original plan was scrapped and sent back to the drawing board. Luckily, there is at least one option for players to fight it out with this week thanks to the latest update.

Update 1.0.7 recently hit live servers, adding the new Brawling option, which lets players fight it out in a new zone designed for 2-4 PvP free-for-all battles – The Scorched Chapel. The update also makes changes to a number of class skills, crafting, the auction house, and more.

Patch notes for the update is available on the Diablo III website along with a Q&A from the devs about the update.
