Players to Own Their Own Ships in Star Wars: The Old Republic

At the BioWare LucasArts presentation at E3 today, Jake Neri confirmed that players will get their own ships in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The ships are huge and will be able to house a player with comfort. These are the real deal; you can walk around your ship and check out its amenities. BioWare also hinted that we'd be able to socialize in the ships. Are the ships an alternative to the player housing players have been wanting? We were unable to wrestle more information out of them at this time (believe me we tried). Check back tomorrow to catch Sardu's SWTOR rundown.
