Zenimax Online Studios has posted a new blog and video for The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO) this week that goes behind-the-scenes for a look at the making of The Dreugh. The Dreugh is a creature that may be familiar to fans of The Elder Scrolls series, making appearances in previous games such as Morrowind and Oblivion.

The dreugh have two distinct morphologies: The Water Dreugh and the Land Dreugh.  Dreugh evolve into Land Dreugh at a period in their lifecycle called Karvinasim, where they grow legs and spend about a year on dry land.  Dreugh are primarily found in the eastern areas of Tamriel, but can likely also be found anywhere coastal.  Land Dreugh can be found as far inland as Cyrodiil.

In TESO, The Dreugh will first be encountered by the Ebonheart Pact in Morrowind’s Stonefall region. Head over to the TESO website for a look at some of The Dreugh concept art and give the video below a peek to see it in action.
