Posted Wed, May 09, 2012 by Martuk

Earlier today, CCP took their first steps towards the real outer space by launching the names of each EVE Online player into the stratosphere in a replica of an EVE Online pod. The launch has now passed, but according to a Twitter post from CCP boss Hilmar Veigar, the devs were in a chopper following the launch to capture footage of the pod to be posted later.

Just another day at the office, quote from an email "We are in the chopper now will have high dev footage in about an hour"

CCP has also posted a number of photographs on its Facebook page from the launch.
