EverQuest Going Free-to-Play in March

If you’ve been thinking about giving EverQuest another try, you can do so starting in March for free. Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) has announced that EverQuest is joining its free-to-play lineup of games.

Starting in early March, players can log into their old EverQuest accounts or create new ones and play for free. As with SOE’s other free-to-play games, there is a premium option included that adds access to additional content along with a number of items in the Station Marketplace.

Head over to the EverQuest website to learn more about a few planned events and the upcoming free-to-play model. Additional information on the upcoming changes can be foud via the new EverQuest Free-to-Play FAQ.

Sony Online Entertainment will also be holding a Community Webcast on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2012 to talk about the upcoming EverQuest free-to-play changes. Fans can submit their questions via Facebook and Twitter.
