If you’ve been thinking about giving EverQuest another try, you can do so starting in March for free. Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) has announced that EverQuest is joining its free-to-play lineup of games.

Starting in early March, players can log into their old EverQuest accounts or create new ones and play for free. As with SOE’s other free-to-play games, there is a premium option included that adds access to additional content along with a number of items in the Station Marketplace.

Sony Online Entertainment will also be holding a Community Webcast on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2012 to talk about the upcoming EverQuest free-to-play changes. Fans can submit their questions via Facebook and Twitter.
