Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida has posted his 43rd missive with more news about the upcoming A Realm Reborn beta and teased a few new images of the revamped title. Yoshida announced that the first phase of beta for A Realm Reborn is set to get underway on Monday, February 25th.

Yoshida also posted a few new screenshots to tease some of the new content and offer a peek at one some of of FFXIV’s new features such as Full Active Time Events, the FATE system, the new guildhest system, and more.

The following screenshots are of a new system that will be ready for testing from phase 1: Full Active Time Events, or FATE for short. These events will take place in non-instanced areas and appear at random. Players can participate by simply being within proximity of the event, and there's no need to form parties. Rewards are automatically distributed when it's over, making it easy to jump in and have fun.
