DARK VALE GAMES’ FORGE RERELEASE GOES LIVE – TIME TO GET YOUR PvP ON!

Free Wed-Sun on Steam plus a 75% off discount to celebrate the new patch and DLC

CARSLBAD, CA (April 24, 2013) -- Dark Vale Games, an independent video game developer based in Southern California, has rereleased their hit multiplayer PC game, Forge, today! To celebrate, the competitive PvP game will be free on Steam from the 24th-28th, along with a 75%-off discount ($5 for a single key, $20 for four keys) offered to players that want to buy the game. By adding key features requested by players, the rerelease of Forge presents players with an entirely new PvP experience that is sure to thrill gamers!

WHY THE RERELEASE?

Forge originally launched in December 2012 as part of Steam’s Greenlight program. As an indie PvP game, it was crucial for Dark Vale Games to launch Forge before funding dried up rather than delaying to add additional features and content.

“We know we launched way too early, but our funding was finite,” said Dave Domm, CEO of Dark Vale Games. “Forge contained key core elements of the game we wanted to ship with, but it was still missing a polished new player experience, rankings, and other key content. Fortunately, our awesome community stuck with us and our initial sales funded the entirety of all the features we knew we needed to have in the game to make it feel complete. The result is this new rerelease – Forge is an incredibly polished, PvP experience now and we hope players join us again to celebrate all we’ve accomplished!”

Along these lines, Forge developers posted a dev diary update on their site outlining what went right and what went wrong. You can access it here: http://www.playforgewar.com/category/development-diary/
