Warlords of Draenor is an expansion filled with Orcs and their history. However, they are not the only stars of the show. The Draenei are also prominent players here, living on Draenor with the volatile Orcs. The Council of Exarchs, an Alliance-only faction in Warlords of Draenor, are the leaders of these Draenei. Only answering to the Prophet Velen himself, the Council runs the show when it comes to Draenei society.

The Council of Exarchs, also known as the Hand of the Prophet, are made up of five members. Each of these members represents a select sect of Draenei society: The Auchenai, guardian priests of Auchindoun; the Artificers, engineers and craftsmen; the Rangari, scouts and rangers; the Vindicators, holy warriors; and the Sha'tari, the people of Shattrath City. To become an Exarch these Draenei must go through three trials with only one companion to assist them along the way.

While the Council has been abandoned in modern Draenei society, in the world of Draenor it reigns supreme. Alliance players seeking to earn these elite Draenei's favor would do well to remember that while the Council is allied with the Alliance faction, they are not actually members of it.

Council of Exarchs – Earning Reputation

Alliance players interested in earning reputation with the Council of Exarchs will find it a fairly easy task. Much easier than earning reputation with factions was in the past. Two main methods of reputation earning are currently available for this particular faction:

Quests

Questing is a big part of earning reputation with the Council of Exarchs. However, this is not the questing of the past. No horrible Daily Quests to do over and over again. Instead players can just quest through the zones at their leisure. Heading back to the Council to complete any bonus quests they find along the way. Sounds simple right? It is!

Quests that earn players reputation for the Council of Exarchs faction can be found in these zones:

  • Shadowmoon Valley
  • Talador
  • Your Garrison

Not found in the above zones the quest; And Justice for Thrall, found in Nagrand, will also award players some extra experience towards this faction. Completing the quests in the above zones will allow players to get well into Revered with this faction. However, Exalted will probably remain elusive. It is time to move on to the secondary way to earn reputation with this particular faction; Mobs.

Mobs

Players can earn reputation with the Council of Exarchs by killing level 100 mobs in specific areas of Shadowmoon Valley. Areas that hold these mobs include:

  • Socrethar's Rise – Southern tip of the zone.
  • Darktide Roost, Southern island.
  • Pillars of Fate – Near the border of the Spires of Arak.

While this may seem like a grind replacement for Daily Quests, it is actually much better. You do not have to meet any deadlines, there are no obligations to kill mobs every single day, and you can kill as many or as few mobs as your heart desires. Flexibility is the name of the game when earning reputation in Warlords.

Council of Exarchs – Rewards

Alliance players who take the time to earn the favor of this faction will find themselves justly rewarded. Rewards vary based on your current reputation. The better reputation, the better the rewards. Rewards from this faction can be purchased from Quartermaster Vindicator Nuurem. Nuurem can be found inside Stormshield and takes his payments in Gold or a combination of Gold and Apexis Crystals.

Rewards available include:

Friendly

Exarch Elixir – Chance to deal holy damage and increases movement speed by 5%. Lasts 30 minutes and can only be used in Shadowmoon Valley.

Tranquility of the Exarchs – Trinket that summons a Paladin Protector to fight along with you.
