Flying is finally coming to Dreanor and if you are one of the many players who can't wait to take to the skies again, this guide is for you. You see, earning flying in Draenor will not be just a simple purchase in this expansion. Instead, players will need to complete the Draenor Pathfinder meta-achievement.

Draenor Pathfinder is a brand new meta-achievement being released at the start of Patch 6.2. When completed, the achievement will award the player with the Soaring Skyterror mount. Then in a later mini-patch players who have completed the achievement will be given the ability to fly on ALL level 90 characters on that account.

Completing this achievement won't be easy. You will need to demonstrate that you have conquered many things in Dreanor including:

  • Explore Draenor – Explore all of Dreanor's zones.
  • Master Treasure Hunter – Collect 100 Treasures.
  • Loremaster of Dreanor – Complete all major story line quests in Dreanor.
  • Securing Dreanor – Complete 12 individual Apexis Daily Quests.
  • Tanaan Diplomat – Earn Revered with the Order of the Awakened, The Saberstalkers, and the Hand of the Prophet/Vol'jin's Headhunters.

While this achievement will be difficult, you can get started now! In fact, everything can be completed before Patch 6.2 hits except for the Tanaan Diplomat achievement.

Explore Draenor

This achievement is pretty straightforward and simply requires you to explore all six unique zones in Draenor:

  • Explore Nagrand
  • Explore Frostfire Ridge
  • Explore Gorgrond
  • Explore Talador
  • Explore Shadowmoon Valley
  • Explore Spires of Arak

Account-wide progress is allowed for much of this achievement. This means you can explore the zones across an array of different characters if you so wish. However, a single character must explore each area of an individual zone. While most of these locations are simple to find, a few will pose more of a challenge. Master Treasure Hunter

To complete this achievement players will need to collect 100 treasures from Dreanor. There are currently around 200 treasures scattered across all the outdoor zones, giving you a wide range of treasures to choose from. Each treasure is lootable by a single player once and will vanish for that player afterwards. This means they cannot ever be stolen by other players. Treasures that will eventually be able to be collected in the Tanaan Jungle DO NOT count towards this achievement.

Treasure Maps

If you are having trouble finding those last few treasures then it might be time to purchase a Treasure Map. These maps may be purchased after you have completed the Loremaster achievement for a particular zone. Maps are sold by Srikka in Warspear and Srakis in Stormshield for 100 Gold each. Once purchased, these maps reveal the locations of all treasures in the zone that you have yet to discover.

Please note that Horde players cannot purchase a map of Shadowmoon Valley, nor can Alliance players purchase the map of Frostfire Ridge. Instead, these maps can only be obtained through Garrison exploration missions. Other maps can also be obtained through these missions. To ensure a random exploration mission will be spawned players may purchase an Explorer's Notebook fromSrakis or Srikka.

Loremaster of Draenor

For the Loremaster of Dreanor portion of this achievement you are going to be doing a lot of quests and I mean a lot of quests taking place in the five original zones in Draenor. Thankfully, you probably completed most of these quests if you did any of the major story lines in any of the zones. However, there are still a lot of quests to cover here.

Making this achievement slightly easier to obtain is the fact that this achievement is account-wide. So if you did some on one character and the rest on another, it will count! With that being said, you must complete the quest chains for individual zones on one single character. For example you cannot do half of Nagrandeur on your Shaman then complete the other half on your Warlock.

The achievements (which can be found in your Achievement Log) are needed for Loremaster of Dreanor are as follows:

The Securing Draenor achievement players will need to complete the Apexis quests that can be picked up from your Garrison Command Table. For those who aren't sure, the Command Table can be found once you have reached level 100 and upgraded your Garrison to Level 2 or 3. Unlike many other achievements here, this particular achievement is not account-wide and must be completed on a single character.

Every day your Command Table will offer up two new quests to choose from. These dailies will send you to level 100 areas throughout Dreanor. Dailies needed to complete this achievement include:

  • Frostfire Ridge: Assault on the Iron Siegeworks/Assault on Magnarok, Assault on Stonefury Cliffs
  • Gorgrond: Assault on Everbloom Wilds/Assault on the Pit
  • Nagrand: Assault on Mok'gol Watchpost/Assault on the Broken Precipice
  • Shadowmoon Valley: Assault on Pillars of Fate/Assault on Darktide Roost/Assault on Socrethar's Rise
  • Spires of Arak: Assault on Skettis
  • Talador: Assault on Shattrath Harbor
Scouting Missives

Having trouble getting that daily quest you need to pop up? Make the process go a bit faster by purchasing Scouting Missives. Purchased from your Garrison Quartermaster; Scouting Missives allow you to complete specific daily quests at your Command Table. The only exception being Assault on the Pit which must be randomly spawned. Scouting Missives cost 200 Garrison Resources.

Tanaan Diplomat

This part of the meta-achievement requires you to earn Revered with the three new Tanaan Jungle factions. Who doesn't love some good old fashioned reputation grinding? Even better, you can't start this part of the achievement until after Patch 6.2 is released. Reputations include:

  • Saberstalkers
  • Order of the Awakened
  • Hand of the Prophet/Vol'jin's Headhunters
