There could possibly be some good news on the horizon for Guild Wars 2 fans if a recent rumor turns out to be true. According to gaming site MMO Crunch, French gaming site jeuxvideo recently translated an NCsoft Korean press release that was in turn translated to English by a fan on the Guild Wars 2 Guru forums (see why we call this one a rumor?) that discussed ArenaNet’s possible presence at the upcoming Korean gaming expo G-Star in November. The translation indicates that ArenaNet will be present from November 10th-13th to show more footage of the game, and, wait for it, be at the expo “following the start of the Beta West.“

We would like you to keep in mind that this isn’t official and as MMOCrunch points out, the release was translated from Korean to French and then to English, so this could just be all kinds of wrong. Despite that, ArenaNet CFO Jaeho Lee has stated that the beta would begin in 2011. So beta hopefuls, keep your fingers crossed and maybe this one won’t turn out to be a hideously mistranslated rumor.
