Massively multiplayer games were not that common on previous console generations, but one game that stuck out on the PlayStation 3 was MAG, a multiplayer shooter that allowed up to 256 players engage in massive combat. The shooter launched in January 2010 in NA and EU, roughly four years ago.
Zipper Interactive, the developer behind the game and Sony subsidiary, was shuttered back in 2012. Sony kept the lights on for players to continue fighting the good fight for a while longer. But that time is just about up.
Enjoy the fight tonight with other MAG players as they give the game a final send off. For tomorrow the war will end for good.
