If you’ve ever wanted to know more about James Vega, your thick-headed companion from Mass Effect 3, Funimation has just the thing. The animation studio recently showed off the first trailer for its upcoming anime movie, Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, which serves as a prequel to Mass Effect 3 and reveals more about the backstory of Commander Shepard’s newest companion. Of course, if you paid attention to the game, you probably know how this story is likely to end.

At FUNimations Comic-Con panel, the team revealed that Freddie Prinze Jr., who voiced James Vega in Mass Effect 3, will be reprising his role as the character in Mass Effect: Paragon Lost.
