Minecraft Documentary Premiers on Xbox Live December 22nd

Markus “Notch” Persson created an unexpected success with a graphically simple sandbox game called Minecraft. Since its official launch last year, Minecraft has sold over 17 million copies across multiple platforms, sending Notch laughing all the way to the bank.

On Saturday, December 22nd at 5:00pm PT, Minecraft: The Story of Mojang, a new documentary from 2 Player Productions, will premier on Xbox Live to tell the story of Minecraft’s rise to fame and why it seems to be so popular. Check out the trailer below for a brief preview.
