Just when Bungie seems to be avoiding controversy they go and do something that has the Destiny fan base scratching their heads wondering who's making decisions over there. Live on the Xbox Store today are the first ever boosting micro transactions that players can purchase for the game, and they are quick simply, ridiculously underwhelming and ridiculously over priced.

For the staggering price of $30 US, you can instantly level the guardian class of your choice to 25. That's right, the $30 doesn't even get you to the max level (which is 40), you get a little over halfway there for the price of buying the entire game again. If you've already leveled a guardian to 25 or above you're probably even more outraged knowing that it only takes several hours to get from lvl 1- 25. If Bungie really wanted to eliminate grind in their game, they would let you buy the high end light level gear that takes hours and hours to get through raids and other time sink activities.

We knew that Bungie was planning on adding more micro transactions to the game after the introduction of the Eververse in game store, but no one could of seen this price gouge coming. It will be interesting to see how they respond to the criticism and bad mood the announcement has caused to sweep across the Destiny community.
