Immortals will be a new entrant into the North American LCS in Season 6, having purchased the spot of Team 8 after the team qualified for the LCS through the promotion tournament. What we've known about Immortals is that the ownership group consists of several successful and wealthy businessmen, including Peter Levin, the president of Lionsgate Interactive Venture and Games, and Steve Kaplan, a co-owner of the basketball franchise Memphis Grizzlies. What's been unclear is what the team's starting lineup will be.

That picture has become a little clearer, as there are now reports that former Fnatic standouts top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon and jungler Kim "Reignover" Ui-jin will be joining Immortals' League of Legends squad. After an extremely successful season with Fnatic, there is no question that the talents of these two players were highly sought after. It comes then as a bit of a surprise that they would sign with an organization brand new to the League scene. However, it's clear that Immortals has money to spend, and it's been reported that the two will become among the highest paid players in North America.

Given that, it's certainly understandable why these players would be willing to take a chance on an unproven organization. It's clear that Immortals intends to compete with the best teams NA has to offer, and acquiring Huni and Reignover will go a long way towards accomplishing that goal. We'll have to wait to find out how the roster will be completed, but it seems to be a safe bet that the organization will be going after high-impact players.
