After leaving his long-time home on Fnatic, Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martínez fulfilled his dream of creating his own League of Legends team when he founded Origen. Simply gaining entry to the European League of Legends Championship Series in their inaugural season was a huge accomplishment for both owner and team, and had they simply maintained their LCS spot, it would have likely been enough.

Instead, they became one of the best teams in Europe, becoming the only squad that was able to take so much as a game off of Fnatic in the Summer Split. Better yet, they advanced all the way to the semifinals of the Season 5 World Championships, before falling to eventual champions SK Telecom T1. While there were some concerns before the event about how xPeke would perform, he shone brightly, living up to his reputation as a player who performs his best when the lights are brightest.

Despite denying the notion earlier in the year, it seems that xPeke is now ready to retire as a player and focus on running his team. According to a report from The Daily Dot, former Unicorns of Love mid laner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage is set to take his place on Origen's player roster. PowerOfEvil was consistently one of UoL's best players, and has proven himself to be among the best mid laners in Europe.

Origen will be competing at Intel Extreme Masters San Jose on November 21st, and it will likely be the debut of PowerOfEvil. Interestingly, Schrage got to show off his talents at a previous IEM San Jose, as it was the first tournament the Unicorns of Love participated in after winning their spot in the LCS.
