Rising from the flaming passion of fans left displaced by the closure of City of Heroes (CoH) comes The Phoenix Project, an endeavor to create a new superhero-based MMOG from the newly founded studio Missing Worlds Media. The studio is made up of CoH fans and independent developers, programmers and artists.

The first promotional video for The Phoenix Project was posted to YouTube last week to preview some of the concept work in development. The game will utilize the CryENGINE 3 and is set in Titan City, a likely nod to the Titan Network website which was instrumental in the Save CoH movement. The world as you might expect is filled with magic, technology and other mystical powers that transform players into heroes and villains.

The Phoenix Project was conceived in September following the closure announcement of CoH. Visit the Missing Worlds Media website and check out the video below to learn more.
