We knew it was coming, but today we got more details on just how the powers of the Lanterns will be implemented into DCUO.

They'll be part of a premium expansion, and involve more than 24 powers for each light type. Obviously there has to be some hard programmed limitations to the all-encompassing powers of the Lanterns, but it looks like they're doing their best to make it a very unique addition to the universe.

"With many of the other powers in the game, it's sort of fire-and-forget," Anderson said. "We wanted you to have more involvement. This is really about making you feel like a Lantern," said the game's director, Mark Anderson. More involved combat? Sign me up!
