Viva la Vista!
Formerly code-named Longhorn, the new MS OS arriving sometime in 2006 is to be named Vista. A limited beta for IT pros and developers will go into effect in September. A Bill Gates look-a-like, strangely in tune with sunshine and nature, posted this refreshing announcement of Vista:
"[Vista] enables a new level of confidence in your PC and in your ability to get the most out of it. It introduces clear ways to organize and use information the way you want to use it. It seamlessly connects you to information, people, and devices that help you get the most out of life."
No comment on whether or not "Longhorn" sounded too "red state," but the rest of the announcement can be found here.
