Ethec's note: due to some technical difficulties, an optometrist appointment, and Sean Penn's big mouth in the wake of Katrina, I've had to post today's "Loading..." on Boomjack's behalf. Rest assured, even though my name appears up top, this is 100% original Boomjack!
The rate at which we are bombarded with MMOG news is accelerating as
publishers and developers look toward the holiday season. I'm
disappointed that I won't be able to play Dungeons and Dragons Online
or Auto Assault in their finished versions after turkey dinner on
Christmas day, but I can live with it. Both titles look simply
fantastic in entirely different ways. Both Turbine and NetDevil have
taken the MMOG model and given it a twist, and we all know things are
better with a twist.
I spent more time in Horizons yesterday getting reacquainted with
the game for a series of interviews and other coverage that we have
planned. It has changed a lot in some ways and in others, well, not so
much. My priest on Dethecor (who can spell that shard?) in World of
Warcraft reached the fine old age of 16. Just the perfect level to hunt
in Redridge mountains where the undead rogues hang out to wipe the
floor with Dwarf priests.
We have had a whopping number of people join our mailing list, but
only two, count 'em two have entered the contest for the autographed
Auto Assault print. There couldn't be an easier contest to enter. Just "click here" to get your name in the draw.
Tuesday Vin Diesel Fact:
Vin Diesel has figured out Pi to the last number.
What's new on the network.
What was recently recent, or what we still want you to see...you decide.
Now on to the real world. You can't make this stuff up.
As always, in your service,
