Senior Technical Producer Torfi Frans Olafsson is the driving force behind EVE Online's Ambulation project, an endeavor that will allow EVE players to step out of their ships and into their avatars for the first time ever. We caught up with Torfi at EVE FanFest 2007 a few weeks ago, and he gave us his candid take on what Ambulation will mean for the game, plus how it will fit into CCP's big picture thinking for EVE Online and how the playerbase is helping to shape the direction of the project. We even learn a little bit about the "synergy" between Ambulation and the development of CCP's next MMORPG: World of Darkness.

Are you more interested in the Ambulation project now that you've heard what Torfi has to say? Do you look at ambulation as a nice sidebar or something that has the potential to become a big part of the game? Let us know in the forums!
