If you're living in the United States, chances are, you're frantically running about to either have the perfect food, perfect setting, or perfect way to avoid some family members. If you're not in the States, maybe you're celebrating the day abroad, a Canadian taking advantage of how close you are by having a second round of Thanksgiving for the year, or maybe you just want to be thankful for something in honor of the day. The holiday has a shaky past and a gruesome start, but it has evolved into a gluttonous celebration of carb overloads, booze, and dealing with those relatives you only see once a year. It's become my favorite holiday, which I start a day early. The Wednesday before has turned into my favorite “me” day, where I spend the night listening to music, dancing badly in the kitchen, drinking whiskey, and cooking a great abundance of food. Where ever you are, whatever you're doing today, I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks to all of our readers who have either been with us over the years or are just joining in. We truly appreciate you hanging out with us and being a part of the Ten Ton Hammer community!

Now before I get too mushy on you all, we do have news for today! Skyforge has a little minigame for beta keys, The Witcher Adventure Game is out now, Shards of War adds a new Sentinel to its MOBA, and everyone everywhere is having a sale.

The Witcher Adventure Game

Available for everything but Linux, The Witcher Adventure Game is out now for Mac, PC, Android, iOS, and if you're into traditional board games, you can also get a physical copy from your favorite local shop. The desktop versions can be obtained at either GOG.com or Steam. For trailers, as well as links for purchasing the game, head on over to The Witcher Adventure Game's page. Both the digital and physical versions have separate trailers, as well, for a bit of extra excitement. Currently, the official site says these forms will be available soon for digital, and pre-orders are available now for the board game, however a quick look at Google Play and Amazon shows that both are obtainable now.

Ignacy Trzewiczek’s The Witcher Adventure Game takes players on a journey across the world of The Witcher as they assume the roles of four beloved characters from the books and computer games: Geralt of Rivia, monster slayer; Dandelion, roguish bard; Triss Merigold, cunning sorceress; and Yarpen Zigrin, dwarven warrior. A variety of quests invite players to hunt monsters, earn gold on dangerous missions, and interact with the characters they meet in a web of alliances and treachery.

Skyforge

If you're like me, you keep reading about Skyforge because you're not writing about Skyforge. I was a bit excited yesterday getting an email to my personal account about the new minigame Allods has available on the official website, where you have a chance to log in daily to see if you can win a beta key. I don't know about you guys, but I'm trying daily to figure this thing out. Allods is giving out twenty keys a day, so I'll keep crossing my fingers and hoping I get lucky! I'd probably have a better chance at winning if I could come up with a better strategy. With seven attempts, you click on question marks on the board to see if you win (which can include small things, like an extra turn), if you can continue guessing, or if you lose, which gives you a new board. Maybe Allods will give me a gold star because I keep trying. A gal can hope, right?

Shards of War

Shards of War is a MOBA from German developer Bigpoint. The latest Sentinel coming to Shards of War is Zel, who has both ranged and stealth capabilities. Oh, she also has a big ass gun. Shards of War is a 5v5 MOBA that removes the laning process so you end up with 20-minute matches that just focus on the fast paced deathmatch part. Your team must not only fight the other team's Sentinels, but their drones and turrets, as well, as you fight towards their headquarters to take them out. Set in a dystopian future, Shards of War has a rich setting and background lore for each Sentinel. Sentinels also come with customizable loadouts that let you be the hero you want to be.

Massive Sales Everywhere

I threw in a quick blurb about Perfect World Entertainment's current sale, but that's not the only one. Here in the States, Thanksgiving isn't the only big to-do this week. The Friday after Thanksgiving, known as Black Friday, is kind of like National Shopping Frenzy Day. It's become bad enough that physical stores are opening earlier and earlier, to the point where they're now opening on Thanksgiving instead of letting their employees be with their families just so someone somewhere can get a perceived deal on some crap they don't really need. I've worked enough retail in my nearly 40 years to stay as far away as possible from the living hell that is Black Friday. No deal is worth camping outside all night for a 6am start, maybe an actual bargain, likely a punch in the throat from a discount diving granny, and a too-high chance of getting trampled on.

However, if you are looking for deals from the comfort of your own home, while you hang out in your PJs, there are plenty of deals to be seen. WildStar is currently on sale for $20. If that's not cheap enough for you, the World of Warcraft base game (meaning, this does not include the new Warlords of Draenor expansion) is currently available for a whole $5. WoD, which includes the base game, is $40, which also includes a free boosted level 90 character of your choosing. Speaking of $5, Goat Simulator (which sadly no longer includes Goat MMO Simulator, but that's $3, so you can get both for less than the normal full price of the game), is half off on Steam. A friendly warning about heading over to Steam right now: they are having one of their infamous sales, so enter at your own risk. Or, just sign your paycheck over to Gabe Newell. Whatever you're more comfortable with.

I hope whatever you end up doing today, whether it's eating your way into a tryptophan coma, getting in an “interesting discussion” with your creepy uncle over politics, scouring the internet for some sweet deals, or are getting ready for work, I wish a great day to all of our Ten Ton Hammer community! Let us know what you plan on spending the weekend playing and what your favorite deal for either Black Friday or Cyber Monday turns out to be, gaming related or not. Cheers, everyone!
