The world is full of collectors. They come in all shapes and sizes,
much like the multitude of products they yearn for. Collectors are
meticulous in their efforts to find that one hidden treasure; that
piece of the puzzle they needed to complete their collection.



Video gamers, like any other person on this planet, are collectors. We
horde things away, storing them in safe locations so that we may one
day find that old, sealed copy of Super Mario Bros. in our attic. We
are always looking for the "cool new toy" and any video game that's
released in the current marketplace will almost assuredly have a
special, limited run "Collector's Edition".

The developers and publishers behind the upcoming AAA MMORPG, style="font-style: italic;">Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
are well aware of this and have answered the call of many in the AoC
community to create a specialized Age
of Conan
Collector's Edition specifically for the hardcore fans of the game and
its world. To the delight of the Ten Ton Hammer staff at the
conference, AoC's Jørgen Tharaldsen had a complete mock-up
of
the actual collector's edition box on display for us to view.



As you can see in the photo on the right, the collector's edition is an
over-sized, book-style, heavy-duty tome the color of freshly spilled
blood. Although it was only a cardboard mock-up, you can tell that the
real version of the collector's edition will be a hefty piece of

When asked about the contents of the collector's edition, Jørgen smiled. "I'm a collector of video games," he said. "The team did an absolutely incredible job on the entire presentation. This is definitely something I'm going to line my shelves with and display prominently in my home." According to Jørgen, the collectors edition will include the
