Download Dungeon Runners, Loot a Ten Ton Hammer!

Updated Sun, Dec 20, 2009 by Cody Bye

“Announcing the Ten Ton Hammer – capable of separating monsters from their cranial contents at least 50,000 times before needing its first repair!”

It's time to take the kid gloves off, boys and girls, because a virtualized Ten Ton Hammer will be waiting for you to wield it in just a few weeks time. The developers at Dungeon Runners and the editors at Ten Ton Hammer are pleased announce that the two companies have joined forces to provide you with what you've always wanted: a Ten Ton Hammer of your very own. Although the weapon is still in the balancing, development and bug squashing phase, both companies wanted to give the Ten Ton Hammer readers advanced warning to download the game and attain a character of an appropriate level to find the item. In a few short weeks, the Ten Ton Hammer will be dropping from monsters throughout Dungeon Runners, and you'll need to be prepared to get your ultimate weapon!

According to the always tongue-in-cheek Dungeon Runners developers, this weapon is “Guaranteed to pancake your adversaries in 3.71 swings, provide 5,281,743 experience points, and impress the locals when you bust out this bad boy. It matches your Illustrious Boots of The Baffled Iguana nicely, and looks sweet on your character’s web page.”

To facilitate the needs of our readers, the Ten Ton Hammer staff is also pleased to announce that we are now serving as one of the mirrors for the fun-filled, action-packed MMOG known as Dungeon Runners. Released May 24, 2007, Dungeon Runners is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online game that takes all the seriousness of the fantasy genre and puts a lighter spin on things. Just what we try to do here at Ten Ton Hammer!

Rated T for Teen
(crude humor, mild suggestive themes)

Dungeon Runners can be described as a hilarious romp through a world that takes itself very lightly. Dungeon Runners - unlike many free-to-play games, continues to grow and evolve. With such a light-hearted atmosphere, the game is fairly simple to construct new areas for and the developers are constantly updating the game with new content. If you have any more questions about the game, feel free to check out Cody “Micajah” Bye’s review of the game, which can be found by clicking here.

The Ten Ton Hammer will be waiting for you in Dungeon Runners!

For those that are interested, here are a few basic features from the game:
  • You can own your very own Ten Ton Hammer!
  • Three character classes: Fighter, Mage, or Ranger. Each can learn powerful magic and deadly weapon skills.
  • Progress in power as you gain levels and acquire new treasures.
  • Some dungeons can be completed quickly, rewarding those who can only invest 15 minutes a play session. Greater dungeons, however, will provide a deep, rich, questing experience for those who want to go on longer runs or multi-part quests.
  • Easy to control with either ‘WASD’ or point and click combat and movement.
  • Adventure alone or join with online friends to form your own band of heroes.
  • Undertake quests to rid the world of unspeakable horrors and legions of enemies.
  • Gather in the public area of Townston, and then quickly hop into a new adventure in your very own instanced dungeon.
  • Become a legend. Bask in the limelight as your powers, equipment, and influence grow with each successful quest and every fallen foe.
  • Randomly generated dungeons may contain any number of special rooms, different monster encounters and more! Each dungeon is always fresh, providing limitless re-playability.
  • Game content will continually grow: new maps, monsters, powers, and much, much more!
  • Literally thousands of magic weapons, items, and armor to discover!
