An email scam targeting wow players was recently dicovered. Here's the official word from the blizzard forums about the scam:

Please be advised that there is a scam email getting sent to World of Warcraft and Battle.net users claiming to be from the Blizzard Security Staff. The address looks like a valid Blizzard email address, and the email asks users to click on a link to verify their account information.

THIS IS A SCAM. Do not click on the link listed in the body of the email. It is an attempt to collect World of Warcraft users’ account names and passwords.

If you have clicked on this link, immediately change your password by logging in to the account-management section of the official web site located at www.worldofwarcraft.com. If you are unable to log in, contact Blizzard’s Billing Support using the contact information below:
