The crew recently had the opportunity to talk with Jason Hayes, the lead composer for World of Warcraft. Jason answered a bunch of questions for them covering many topics ranging from how he got involved with Blizzard to what he has planned for the future.

WoW Vault: How did you become involved with Blizzard?

In 1998, I attended "The Game Developers' Conference" ( It happens once a year in California, and it is a great place to meet people from many companies and try to find work. At that time, I had been working as a composer for Sierra On-Line, and my good friend (and fellow composer) Victor Crews talked me into going with him. When I went, I brought a portable CD player, and made anybody who would listen put on the headphones and check out my music :)........

I really don't understand racism in the real world. People are what people are, regardless of skin pigmentation or where their ancestors came from. There's really only one real-world race - the Human Race - and I loathe everyone equally.
