Take a look right here at a very good look at what might be in-store for WOW players! (please note that this is just an enthusist's prediction) Much has occured since Warcraft 3 and the begining of World of Warcraft, and much lore has still been left out. Who knows what new dangers or plots may still take over the lands of old!

I see history repeating itself here...

Tensions are mounting between the Horde and Alliance, it's only a matter of time before the next full scale war. I see that war as playing out a lot like War II did...

The Horde has the upper hand. Their offensive forces are unmatched, and their superiority over southern kalimdor is unquestioned. If they're smart, which Thrall may or may not be, they'll start the war by storming Dustwallow and Ashenvale.

Theramore won't last. Jaina will see this coming, and I predict most of the city will evacuate before it's sacked. The civilians will likely go to Menethil, and then south into the Alliance heartland, but the millitary, thus mobilized, will use this as an excuse to drop troops in Stranglethorn. The Horde won't be able to keep Stranglethron. Two fronts, one form Stormwind and the second from Theramore, will focre them out.

Similarly, the Sentienls won't be able to hold onto Ashenvale. They'll end up retreating to Darkshore and Teldrassil. The Horde will hold mainland Kalimdor.

This is where the mistakes of the father will haunt the son. The Horde will collapse. An increasingly secular blood elf/undead section of the Horde will abandon it to pursue their own goals. The Forsaken needed the Horde when they were alone in Lordearon. With the blood elves, the Horde becomes redundent.

All the while, Horde progress in Kalimdor halts. They were out-maatched on the ground, but night elf ties with nature (and absence of excessive mass) combined with gnome engineering (goblins will be bright enough not to give either side the full benefit of their technology, which is the only thing capable of matching gnomish engineering) will give the Alliance a stronger air and naval force. The Horde will loose offensive momentum, and I'm not sure what will happen after that.

I am certain, though, that the Horde will not remain a unified entity for very much longer. ~ Nathril
