Posted June 9th, 2006 by Messiah

All gamers pleased be warned that Blizzard has announced the following statement about account theft, how it may affect you, and what you can do to prevent it.
The Trojan spreads via traditional vectors, such as e-mail and peer-to-peer file sharing, added Rammurthy, but it has also been watched while it installs in a drive-by download from gaming sites' pop-up ads. The surreptitious installation is accomplished by exploiting various vulnerabilities in Microsoft's Internet Explorer Web browser.
Blizzard reccomends the use of Mozilla Firefox for more security for player's accounts while on the internet and downloading files while playing World of Warcraft. Please make sure you take the proper measures so you are not affected!
