Updated Wed, Dec 16, 2009 by Cody Bye

Free massively multiplayer games seem to be all the rage lately. New free games coming out seemingly every other week, the marketplace is filling up very quickly and those games that are trying to break into the market must really push themselves to be popular. Although Rappelz has been on the market for awhile now, the developers and marketing folks are pushing hard to bring more people to the game. Japan is still recovering from the disaster that ravaged the country earlier this month, but game developers and publishers have been doing their part to aid in the country's recovery. With donations from Square Enix and a PLEX for Good: Japan drive underway by CCP, Gala Networks Europe recently stepped forward to lend their aid to the recovery efforts. Starting today, players of Rappelz and Flyff can purchase special charity items in the cash shop with proceeds going to the Red Cross. Terra Militaris and Castle of Heroes will have their chance to do the same next week. Check out the official press release after the break for more.
