"The Fastest Path to 60!"

After the last section of continuous questing we are back to some heavier grinding for this level. While there are some quests at this level, there just are not enough to go without some intensive grinding. First on our list of places to visit is Azshara and then on to the Burning Steppes.

Our aim is to get to level 54 so that we can train before heading into Felwood and Winterspring.

Level Fifty Three to Fifty Four

Azshara

When you land at the camp in Azshara accept the "Betrayed" quest and then head to Ogtinc at 42,42 for your class quest (if available).

For Hunters the quest is "The Hunters Charm" but different classes have different quests, but they all lead to "Courser Antlers".

Travel north killing all the Coursers you come across for thier antlers. The drop rate is low and you will ahve to grind them out for a while.
When done, head to the top of the large hill around 52,22 and get "Kim'jael Indeed!", this should be just east of where you were farming coursers.
Move just south to find all the Blood Elf MOBs and kill them to complete "Betrayed" and "Kim'jael Indeed!".
Turn in "Kim'jael Indeed!" on top of the hill and get "Kim'jael's Missing Equipment". Return to Ogtinc to the south and turn in "Courser Antlers" to get the follow up "Wavethrashing".
From Ogtinc drop down the cliffs to the beach to the east to find "Kim'jael's Missing Equipment" and then move into the water along the north coast of the Bay of Storms to find the MOBs for "Wavethrashing".
Return to Ogtinc to turn in "Wavethrashing" and get the next part in the chain. This part will be a run into an instance, for example the hunter quest is "The Green Drake" which requires you to kill a boss in the sunken temple instance. The reward is great for most classes, so keep the quest and complete it whenever you can find a group.
Turn in "Kim'jael's Missing Equipment" back on top of the hill to the north.

At this point you really need to grind a while. How long depends on you, but I always try to get at least 1/2 a level grinding away on the Blood Elves. They are all caster based and have low HP so die easily. They also drop decent silver and loot.

If you are a skinner you may consider to Coursers instead as you can then skin them for leather to use or sell. Its your call.

Return to the camp and turn in "Betrayed!" and get the followup of the same name.

Fly to Orgrimmar and turn in the second part of "Betrayed!" and then board the zepplin and fly to Stranglevale and then north to the Badlands to collect "The Rise of the Machines" and "Dreadmaul Rock" quests.

Fly to to the Burning Steppes.

If you have not yet ventured there, one of the easiest ways to get there is from Thorium Point in the Searing Gorge. Just run south through Blackrock Mountain and exit into Burning Steppes. Then follow the north edge of the zone until you come to a settlement up in the mountains. Make sure you get the flight point here.

Burning Steppes

In camp grab the flight point and the two quests "Tablet of the Seven" and "Broodling Essence" and then head south to the ruins.
In the ruins you can complete "The Rise of the Machines" and "Tablet of the Seven". The tablet can be found near 54,40.
Move east to "Dreadmaul Rock" and complete it while grinding away on ogres and dragonkin.

Next complete "Broodling Essence" in the north east corner of the zone.

The Broodlings are excellent MOBs to grind on if you are still short of hitting level 54 by much.

Return to camp to turn in "Tablet of the Seven" and "Broodling Essence" and then fly to the Badlands to turn in "The Rise of the Machines".

Get the followup and turn it in at 25,46.

Return to Orgrimmar, and train your level 54 skills. For the next section of the guide we will visit Felwood, which can be accessed from the north edge of Ashenvale.
