End of Beta Event

The end of the beta was as, if not more, spectacular the original beta’s ending event. During the original World of Warcraft (WoW) beta event, infernals were summoned from everywhere and the beta concluded with the Burning Legion taking over Azeroth. This time around, it was almost the same, well except for many major bosses showing up everywhere.

Things started out with rumors of a giant Rogue running around punting people across the map. Quickly people grabbed their swords, grabbed their magical incantations, and mounted up. They knew what was coming, something awe inspiring, something… amazing.

Then, the event began. Every major city, except Exodar and Silvermoon, was met with a Burning Legion’s attack force including such allstars as new and old Kazzak, the emerald dream dragons, and enemies who aura will simply instantly kill you.

Cities were then razed to the ground, fire erupted everywhere, and the bosses ran amok. During the first wave, the original Kazzak was assaulting Shattrath city, Outlands major hub. The combined forces of the Alliance and Horde successfully defeated him – well until a beefed up new version of Kazzak showed up. In the end he too was taken out, but the emerald dream dragons weren’t.

We got on the scene during the later part of the event and were able to recover a few screenshots. I will say the lag was incredible and it was no small feat to return these screenshots!
