ION 2008 Game Conference Menu
ION Game Conference, May 13-15, 2008 Seattle, WA
As expected the ION Game Conference will have some spectacular good eats. If you plan to attend and haven't registered please do so quickly. The last day to register online is this Friday, May 9th.
Many of you have attended last year's spectacular ION conference (then known as OGDC), and have noted that the food is one of the memorable qualities that help set the event apart. As the clock ticks down to less than one week left to register for the event online, the finer details of ION have come into full focus  including the menus we're sure will impress ION veterans and newcomers alike. It's highly unlikely other conferences have highlighted their food as a talking point, but then again, not many have had keynote and food pairings like this:
Tuesday keynote: Won Il Suh, Neowiz, "State of Online Games: Partnership and Investment Opportunities Around the World"
Tuesday keynote lunch: minestrone soup with pesto drizzle; organic mixed greens with smoked almonds, bleu cheese crumbles, balsamic vinaigrette; turkey and prosciutto panini with provolone, roasted garlic aioli; prime rib French dip with au jus; tuna melt with cheddar, Ruben panini with sauerkraut; grilled and marinated vegetable foccacia; tiramisu with coffee crème anglaise
Wednesday keynote: John Smedley, Sony Online Entertainment, "Reinventing the MMO"
Wednesday keynote lunch: Pacific clam chowder with Manila clams; organic greens including apples, celery, walnuts, champagne vinaigrette; Greek pasta salad with feta, tomatoes, red onion, herbed vinaigrette; chicken kabobs with garlic, lemon, rosemary; whole roasted salmon served on a cedar plank; grilled and marinated market vegetables; and Washington apple tart with vanilla bean whipped cream
Thursday keynote: Yat Siu, Outblaze, The Integration of Social Networks, Casual Gaming, and MMOGs
Thursday keynote lunch: pho noodle soup with beef broth, cilantro, hot chili sauce; organic mixed greens with orange supreme, carrots, cilantro, sesame vinaigrette; peanut noodle salad with toasted peanuts and green onions; California rolls with wasabi and ginger; veggie stir fry box including tofu, cashews, snap peas, onions, carrots, brown rice; Mongolian beef with green onions, garlic, ginger, sesame oil; and pineapple upside down cake
Indulgences for the palette are not limited to the conference keynote lunches. Snack breaks will feature Häagen-Dazs® ice cream bars, premium Odwalla® juices, chocolate-dipped fresh fruit, CLIF® BAR energy bars, and much more. And of course, we'll have haute cuisine and fine beverages to match at the official ION parties.
Bon appétit. I look forward to seeing you at ION next week!
