Obtainable Titles

Titles are status symbols within World of Warcraft. Whether it be a PvP milestone or a PvE objective or accomplishment, titles help distinguish those few dedicated players from the rest, showing others that that person had the patience, discipline, luck, or rank to obtain said title. With this guide, we'll go over which titles were available in the past, which titles are available to you now, and how you may go about obtaining them.

Be warned, title obtention is often a time-consuming endeavor and will take many hours of your time. That said, let's take a look at the currently obtainable titles first and foremost, should one have the dedication.

Using this drop-down menu lets you choose available titles. Here, we see Challenger available. Infront, we see a Hand of A'dal.

PvE-based Titles

PvE titles are mostly specialized in completing attunements to the raiding instances, which will help distinguish someone who's done some raiding and someone who hasn't just yet. While attunements have disappeared as requirements to zone in, most players will gladly display their titles to show their achievements in endgame raiding to distinguish themselves from the newcomers.

Champion of the Naaru - Obtained through completing the attunement quests for Tempest Keep (Trials of the Naaru, which involve running Heroic versions of Steamvault, Arcatraz, Shattered Halls, and finally defeating Mag'theridon), and the attunement for Serpentshrine Caverns (The Cudgel of Kar'desh, inside Heroic Slave Pens). Once you complete these two attunements, you will be able to choose Champion of the Naaru as your title.

Hand of A'dal - Obtained through completing the attunement quests for Black Temple (Medallion of Karabor, started in Shadowmoon Valley) and Hyjal Summit (The Vials of Eternity, by killing Vashj and Kael'thas within Serpentshrine Cavern and The Eye, respectively). Once you complete these two attunements, you will be able to choose Hand of A'dal as your title.

Of the Shattered Sun - The most accessible title for non-pvpers, this title only requires you to be Exalted with the Shattered Sun Offensive, and paying 1000 gold to complete the quest A Magnanimous Benefactor. Once you pay the 1000 gold, you will be able to select your "Of the Shattered Sun" title.

PvP-based Titles

PvP titles come mainly from Arena ratings nowadays, although you may still obtain the ever elusive exalted with all factions title, but it will take a considerable amount of time to do so.

Justicar - You must be exalted with Silverwing Sentinels, Stormpike Guard, and The League of Arathor (Alliance) - Very time consuming

Conqueror - You must be Exalted with the Warsong Outriders, Frostwolf Clan, and The Defilers. (Horde) - Very time consuming

Unobtainable titles

These titles were once obtainable in the past with the old Honor system. While there has been debate on whether they would readd these or not in the past, it seems they will not be added back in the end, keeping it as a past accomplishment to show players have been playing for awhile.
