The Acheronian Ruins Daytime Quest Guide

The newbie city of Tortage is one of the most amazing starting zones in an MMOG to date! With all that content and all those quests, do you know where you are going?

Acheronian Ruins is the zone found up the path outside of the Tortage gates. This is a wonderful place to take a few friends (choose the "epic" instance) or go at it solo (choose "normal"). However you decide to play, this is a nice little zone to grind and quest in. We know Age of Conan players don't need help on laying waste to enemies, but we do know that quests can sometimes give us all a little trouble. We've put together the list of Tortage quests that will take you into the Acheronian Ruins and have given you a little bit of assistance. If you are questing around Tortage, then keep this guide handy just in case you run into a little trouble.

A Brothers Vengeance	Otho	You'll need to kill a demonic pict to find the remains. The demonic pict will spawn with a couple of other mobs right in front of the archway near the lava river. Another one spawns inside the camps near the bridge across the lava. It takes a bit for this guy to spawn so be kind and group up with others that are standing around waiting.
Caught in the Shadows	Captain Royo	Speak with Genzio in the Acheronian Ruins. You'll find him in the south part of the zone. He needs a remedy which you will get from Ninus back in Tortage, then will need to return back to him in the Ruins. After this, you will be heading back to Tortage to Genzio's house in northern Tortage. He has some creepy stuff going on in his basement! Kill the monsters and talk to the bandits. Only one of them would talk to me (far side of the room) and give me an update. Head back to Genzio (yeah, lots of running around on this one), back again to Ninus. He will have you deliver the cursed skull to Royo, then return BACK to Genzio. This is basically a series of small quests. The reward wasn't very good for the work involved and was mostly just useful for the experience.		Bits of experience along the way, not much else!
Fire for the Dead	Padraig	Burn corpses in Acheronian Ruins. These are up on a platform in the northeastern section of the zone. Right click 'em and watch them burn!
Of Rotting Flesh	Padraig	Kill ghouls and collect their heads. These seems to be all over the zone, but I was able to move through them quickly around the lava river area in the camps.
Pict Threat, The	Laranga	Picts are everywhere in Acheronian Ruins, if you can't find one, well then we just cannot help you! wink I suggest saving this quest until you have others to do in the Ruins to avoid the grind.	-
Remains of a Bygone Age	Otho	Destroy the standing stones in Acheronian Ruins. These are all the way out on the southeastern side past the camps. Get close to the stones and attack to destroy them.
Spirit of Acheron	Otho	Kill the bat demon. This guy is a pain the rear to get to! He's all the way at the very top of the eastern stone tower and you'll have to do a lot of killing along the way. Be sure to take out the healers as quick as possible because along with healing, they also toss out a nasty curse on you that can do some serious damage.
Unholy Magic	Otho	Destroy pict huts. You just need to get close to the huts that are destroyable and start attacking it. Then kill the elder shaman, you'll find him in the middle of the camp.
Veil of Dawn	Royo	Gather fruit from the southern part of Acheronian Ruins. These are laying on the ground throughout the area, beware of the snakes!
