Blizzard Devs Discuss WoW Raid Instances and Dungeons

Updated Mon, Jun 30, 2008 by Ethec

Our man in Paris has the scoop on WoW's PVE endgame content, past and future...

At the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational, Tom Chilton, J. Allen Brack , and Cory Stockton met with fans to discuss dungeons and raids in the World of Warcraft. Specifically, what they learned from the Burning Crusade (BC) and how it would be applied in the Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK). Their discussion covered many topics including how and why Blizzard is bringing back an old favorite.

"Next up was the Naxxramas discussion which opened up with the question "Naxxramas... Again?" to which everyone cheered. [Lead Level Designer Cory Stockton] replied that, "Yes, that's how we feel as well".

Players and Blizzard alike feel that Naxx is one of the best raids ever maid by Blizzard and that it was released too late in the original games life cycle, therefore it is being brought back in the WotLK as a 10/25 man raid."
