New Game, Same Monthly Cost as the Old Game

Guild Wars 2 has updated their Faq with some intriguing details. Continuing to go against the grain of the normal MMO pricing model, Guild Wars 2 will have no monthly fee to play. Just like the predecessor, you buy the box and you are done paying for the game. Aiming towards more of a persistent world, speculation was that a monthly fee would be necessary. Apparently not. Maybe this is the new business model, and all of the micro-transaction proponents should refocus.
