World of Warcraft at Ten Ton Hammer

Blizzard opens the door on the Wrath of Lich King Beta Opt-In.

As if millions of simultaneous mouse clicks weren't evidence enough, a quick trip to World of Warcraft's main site proves that indeed the Beta Op-In link is live. By now, people are probably treating that link like an elevator call button hoping that more clicks means faster access. Of course, all of that clicking is just for a chance to get in. From World of Warcraft’s website:

”Keep in mind that opting in doesn't guarantee you'll be selected for the beta. And players who've previously been promised beta access through a promotion or contest (such as by purchasing the Dell XPS M1730 World of Warcraft Edition notebook) don't need to worry -- you'll still be entered into the beta automatically when the time comes."

So if you bought the super mega cool but expensive WoW laptop, you're in the clear, but the rest of us have to click and hope. Go clicky-clicky and good luck getting into the Lich King beta.
