Jumping on the digital download bandwagon (as all games should), AoC is now available for direct download. My apologies to the cardboard and plastics manufacturers out there, but why is an online game that updates weekly sold through the "trains, trucks, bricks and mortar" antiquated methods? I understand retail shelf space real estate, and the Walmart effect, but seriously, let's move into the technology age. Luckily Funcom agrees with me to some degree, so now the U.S. and European players can purchase the game and download it directly (nothing is specified for Canadians but if you live in Canada, buy the U.S. version while laughing all the way to the currency exchange).

Age of Conan is no longer a gas-guzzling traffic congested trip away, it is right at your finger tips if you go to the direct download page at Age of Conan.

Shouldn't all games be distributed this way? Like AoC, my sensible reasoning for promoting digital download are just a click away.
