IGN's Vault Network recently caught up to Erling "LordOrion" Ellingson at E3 to gain some insight on the launch of Age of Conan and some of the things Funcom has planned for the future of Hyboria. Including a Christmas Edition of Age of Conan and the much secrative first expansion.

There are several new features on their way to Hyboria. Players can expect several new indoor dungeons and outdoor regions such as Ymir’s Pass (level 55+) that will go a long way toward resolving the obvious thinning of content that players experience mid-game. Content is important to Funcom according to Erling because subscriber retention and attracting new players to the game are important. (Note: Erling said to be on the lookout for a Christmas edition of AoC!) As they continue in the fixing stage they are also very aware of the player’s desire for something to do.
