Welcome Agents!

Day two of E3.  Today it was style="font-style: italic;">Agency crazy!

We started Agency
demos this morning in the SOE media suite and were
still working until seven…or should I say, Hal was doing
interviews until after seven.  The days events were supposed
to end at five, the monitors were all off and we still had folks who
wanted to talk about the game.  It’s fantastic to
see the insane interest in The
Agency
.

It’s also amazing how standing and talking can be so much
work.  We had at least a hundred folks if not more make their
way through the media suite, and Kevin O’Hara had a whole
bunch of interested folks down on the show floor.  Kevin said
that he went over the main point so many times that when he took a
break. Other SOE folks from separate teams were able to fill in the
gaps for the walk ups while Kevin was away with all the points intact.

Operatives were, of course, a big topic of discussion and our sneak
peek of the ParaGON field office raised a number of eyebrows, and not
just because of Round Up’s “bull riding”
skills. People were eager to get the release date out of us.
We of course let them know that we would have to kill them if we told
them…

After one of my interviews, I told the PR team I needed to hit the
restroom.  Yes, they have us scheduled that tight.
*smiles*  Instead of hitting the bathroom, I snuck back down
to the show floor to check out some more games.  Stealth is
one of my specialties. *winks*

I went directly to check out Dark
Void
, by Airtight Games.
The vertical combat that they have put in the game is very
nice.  It was very smooth to control.  I am really
excited about it since they are another local Seattle startup company.

I also got a little hands on with Little
Big Planet
.  That
game is incredible. A really smooth experience with an amazingly
intuitive UI that just screams “PLAY
ME!!!!!!”  Believe me- this game will probably burn
out our PS3 once my family gets their hands on it.

By the way, I mentioned the smoothie machine yesterday… Well
we also had an open bar.  Let me just say, that combining the
smoothies with the bar equals way too tasty.

It was another great day at E3, living the life of an elite demo-er.
