Chris Klug at Comic-Con 2008 Developer Blog

Exclusive SGW Comic-Con Blog - The Blog is a Lie!

Posted July 22nd, 2008 by Cody Bye

By Chris Klug, Creative Director, Stargate Worlds

Okay, so this whole blog entry begins with a lie.

It says "Klug at Comic Con."  That's a lie, at least for today.  I'm not at Comic Con.  I'm sitting here at my desk, dressed in my shorts and t-shirt, basking in the office air conditioning on this hot, humid Phoenix night.

What did I do today?  Isn't that what a blog is supposed to do, chronicle my daily activities for consumption by the masses?

First, I met with the concepting team and looked at concepts for the Asgard armor, and the Goa'uld 'dress blues’.

Then I logged onto the forums and answered a couple questions.

Then I spent time on the phone with our casting director finalizing the time for our voice-over callbacks for the parts of Lethander, Marsh, Moh'katan, Anat, and the Don Davis replacement.

Then I met with my world building team and went over status for the current milestone.

Then lunch at the Black Bear Diner with Brian Heins and Dave Dubord.

Then I tested the current build.

Then I worked with our travel coordinator setting up the first voice over session with the characters ___, Goldam, and Laro. (Editor’s Note: Space left intentionally blank.)

Then I met with the other directors (Dan, Howard, Doug Doine, Demetrius) to discuss overall product status and prep for Comic Con.

Then I met with Steve Garvin and discussed some story issues.

Then we had dinner (it's crunch week and we work late on Mondays and Wednesdays during crunch week).

Then I met with Rebecca to discuss status of the system team.

Then I wrote this blog.

What will I do when I go home?  Shop for camera equipment, no doubt.

Talk to you tomorrow!
