One of the most exciting features in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is the Public Quest system. Public Quests are area based quests that you trigger by crossing over into an area where a PQ is taking place. Unlike most quests, it's not initiated by speaking with a specific NPC or finding/ looting a random item. As you move into this zone a message flashes onto your screen, informing you that a Public Quest is taking place, and what you would need to do to join in. These quests have huge goals that would be daunting for even an average player to accomplish in the time frame provided. This is where the word "Public" comes into play. The quests are geared for everyone of the same army in that zone to participate in, as groups or warbands.

It is a desperate time for the
Empire. While a mysterious plague ravages through its populace, a
massive warhost of barbaric Northmen launches a ferocious attack across
the Empire's northern border. With terrible speed, the invaders storm
into Nordland laying waste to all in their path.

The Emperor summons forth the
greatest of his subjects: the Grand Theogonist of the Cult of Sigmar,
the Supreme Patriarch of the Colleges of Magic, and the Captain of the
Reiksguard. Together with these advisors, Karl Franz devises a plan to
save the Empire.

The Emperor announces the formation of the Order of the Griffon, an elite military force made up of noble knights, potent Wizards, cunning and lethal Witch Hunters and fearless, fanatical Warrior Priests. Receiving their orders directly from the Emperor, the Order's commanders will be free to take any action necessary to protect the Empire from threats from within or without.

After its ranks are filled, the Order of the Griffon is dispatched to Nordland. Their mission is simple, but vitally important - take command of the Nordland provincial army and organize the Empire's defenses before the invading warhost ransacks the province completely.

Meanwhile, the mystery of the plague still lingers. If the members of the Order do not act quickly to solve it, the dread disease will consume the Empire and any hope of surviving the enemy attack will be lost.

1: War Comes to Grimmenhagen

Stage I: style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: bold;">Kill 25 Raven
Host Marauders. These
rank 2 mobs will run out from behind the
Manor House to the haystacks in the fields.



Stage II style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">: Protect Father
Sigwald
- style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">5 Minutes style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">.
Father Sigwald and a group of Peasants will stage themselves on the
path west of the Manor House. From behind the building, waves of rank
2 Champions and their friends will come running. The goal is to keep
Father Sigwald alive, so it is best to meet the enemies near the house
as soon as they come out. Use AoEs to aggro as many of the mobs as
possible; they will ignore you and run towards the friendly NPC group
if you don't interrupt them first. This stage will succeed if Father
Sigwald is alive at the end of the 5 minutes, while his death will end
the PQ immediately.



Stage III style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">: style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Kill Argog the
Unstoppable - 10 Minutes.
From the treeline north of the path, a giant troll creature will come
crashing through, pushing trees over to the ground. Argog will become
attackable after stepping on Father Sigwald. You have 10 minutes to
kill Argog, which is no easy task. He does have an AoE attack, so light
armored classes should take care to stay ranged when able. Steady
damage will take him down, and his loot chest will pop at his feet.



Loot Drops: style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Special items are dependent on the type of loot bag that is won, and your class. Every loot bag contains the tradeskill items and coins.
