If you grew up playing video or computer games, you've likely enjoyed a game designed or influenced heavily by the work of Don Daglow. In a career spanning more than thirty years, Don got his start programming games like Utopia (for the Intellivision, and a clear predecessor to SimCity-style god games) and went on to lay the cornerstone for other games genres, like RTS (Stronghold). His award-winning work in the early 90s with the original Neverwinter Nights is widely hailed as foundational to the RPGs in general and the modern MMORPG in particular.

With such a long and distinguished career comes a great deal of perspective, and (unlike David Perry's facts and figures-heavy presentation) Don shares his personal insights about where the games industry is headed in this 45 minute video filmed live at Leipzig Games Development Conference.
