EVE Online GMs to Police Warring Exploit

Posted August 28th, 2008 by Medeor

EVE GMs come down on speedy turncoats.

The EVE Online community excels at pushing the envelope. The envelope of competition, greed, conspiracy, good taste, or you name it and there will be a headline somewhere crying foul about it in EVE. The community also seems to be the most accepting of the grief they receive at the hands of other players and just take their lumps as part of the free-form society that is EVE Online. Regardless of what the players think, the GMs have decided that enough is enough with regards to one particular issue:

"The practice of insta-joining/leaving warring corporations for the purpose of surprising war targets, or getting them in trouble with CONCORD, is considered an exploit from here on. Reports of this will be investigated on a case by case basis and warnings will be issued at the discretion of the GM."

Those of you with the itchy join/leave/slaughter trigger fingers better think twice before using those tactics. players with accounts can read more on MyEve. The rest of you will just have to take my word for it.
