Beta Ring of Ryzom Manual Now Available at Ten Ton Hammer

Ring of Ryzom is the extremely innovative expansion to Saga of Ryzom, due to go live on Oct. 3rd. If you've been following our coverage since the preview event in June, you know that Ryzom Ring is a first-in-class MMORPG scenarior design toolset which will allow players to design and run intricate, multi-stage story arcs for players on the live servers. Though their tools make the design process relatively painless, Nevrax is offering a sneak peek at a how-to manual - downloadable at Ten Ton Hammer - to show you the features and flexibility of the design side of Ring of Ryzom. They've kindly allowed us to offer the manual to our community, but keep in mind that the update and the manual are still in beta form.

The Ring delivers a whole new realm of massive online gaming — areas where you can create Scenarios yourself, filled with precisely those creatures, characters and situations that you know will make the best of all possible Scenarios. You create a Scenario, then once you're ready for others to play through your new Scenario, you can open it to just a few other players by invitation, or run it for anyone who wants to play it. You can create a special limited-run Scenario, guiding and speaking for the "non-player characters," and even award prizes to the best players."
