Ostland

The deep forests of Ostland contain many lakes, streams, and other natural wonders. This beauty is marred by the dangers for traveleres and adventurers alikes found around every turn. While sparsely populated by villagers who have been overrun by Destruction there are occassional safe havens along the hazardous trails of this dark place.

brings you
into a camp right at the beginning. Be mindful of the drops to the west as they will literally drop you on a Battlefield Objective and flag you for RvR. Assuming there are no Destruction players, the Hero will likely eat your lunch. The first logical step here is of course to stop by and speak wit style="color: #000000;">h Sergeant Kraussner who will bind you to this area so you can have a safe point to pop back to in a pinch. style="color: #000000;">

As you walk in the camp on you left will be Private Betz who will continue the epic Greater of Two Evils quest line. He'll also send you back into Troll Country to nab a named goblin called Nosebitter who is totally asking for it. Caravella Betz in the tent directly across has a few simple travel tasks for you to handle as well.

Your Chapter 7 Public Quest Riddles and Clues also takes place in the area, the first PQ actually starting in Troll Country (you likely passed it on the way here). If you've bored yourself with killing untold numbers of Trolls there is another just to the south called Lissariel's Glade challenging you to assist a group of Empire soldiers. If you are feeling like a little chaos meaning both the race and actual chaos then the PQ Hochnar is for you. Prepare to have enemies running around at random and lots to kill.

Once you've wrapped up Chapter 7 and maxed your influence (assuming you want the gear reward), you should have been able to wrap up the miscellaneous errands of the other camp members and you can begin to move west down the road. Passing by the Hochnar PQ (be mindful of the Champion who wanders) a little further along you'll find the besieged Bohsenfels village and your next group of adventures.

Empire's
Chapter 8 begins at Bohsenfels. Far from the RvR lake, you can hunt in relative safety even flagged for RvR as there is an entire mountain range between you and the Chaos players. Be sure to stop at the Rally Master Demona Gaetner to get yourself bound and save a run later. Witch Hunter Drauwulf and Servant Nadja continue the Greater of Two Evils epic quest so if you have that completed to this point, be sure to get your update. The reward is certainly worth it if grabbed early enough. While you can always do the Public Quests Nurenmir's Lancers or the Black Mire, the nearby Siege of Bohsenfels offers great rewards and low travel time.



Several other NPCs here have quite a few quests to offer, including Innkeeper Bischof, who stands in a doorway near an Inn. Also stop by Witch Hunter Drauwulf also asks you to help proclaim the crimes of someone and how often do you really get to do that? Otto Maxmillian also stands nearby presenting another task.



To the west of the southwest of the village you'll find the Black Mire Bell Tower. If you can't find it, just look for a tower surrounded by dozens of bandits. At least a few quests will take you to this area.



Wolfenburg



In the far southeast of Ostland sits the last bastion of adventure and safety for you called Wolfenburg. This complex camp has a full suite of amenities including trainers and merchants. It does lack a fast travel method but is a great staging ground for the quests you'll receive. Rally Master Liebert Naubhof stands ready to bind you to the area and offer you some nifty rewards for completing Chapter 9. Gore Wood PQ lies to the far west and Howling Vale a little closer but odds are you'll find yourself mostly in Wolfenburg itself.. You'll receive a few quests that will send you to these areas anyway. Valmir Von Raukov will complete your Greater than Two Evils epic quest line and give you a very nice blue piece reward style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

Wolfenburg is a sizeable town in the most southern portion of Ostland. Even better is it has been completely overrun by dozens of zombies who would like to do nothing more than chomp on your head. Your quests won't actually be started in the city but Within a camp just across the bridge and safe from zombies. You'll find plenty of NPC's like Ludger Brauer and Reichart Von Klaus who have no reservations against sending you in town for tasks.

Special Note: When doing the Greater of Two Evils, the corpse of Bernard Fiegler is located north of where the circle indicates in town. Look for a few Horrors standing around and you'll be on the right track to find the body.

After completing all your tasks here at Wulfenburg camp, it's time to move on from Ostland into the more intimidating High Pass which lies along a path to the south east. Most of the content here is level 18 or higher so if you haven't achieved at least this Rank, consider going to one of the other Tier 2 areas or maxing out your Influence in a PQ to continue leveling. Your journey will take you now in to the frozen mountains of the High Lands.
