Chapters 4-6

Chrace

A land covered by ancient wilderness, the outer kingdom of Chrace is a rough place of mountains and forests. In this untamed lands the hunters of Chrace learn their woodcraft, and the strongest of these elves eventually try their turn at hunting the powerful white lions that roam the mountains, in hopes of earning the honor of becoming a bodyguard to the king, a legendary White Lion of Chrace. Such honor comes as an intermittent joy, for Chrace is constantly on guard against the incursions of the Dark Elves.

Cliffs of Ushuru

The High Elf journey in Chapter 4 begins in mid-eastern Chrace at the Cliffs of Ushuru. The High Elves have established a stronghold here, where numerous troops are trained, and magics are practiced. As you enter the camp from the vaulted bridge, crossing over a steep canyon, veer to the left and witness a marvel of magic in the flesh. Two Sages of Hoeth maintain an impenetrable shield, while Elven archers attempt to shoot through it. Run up to the shield and see that it does indeed stop you from moving through.

Return to the main camp and begin to introduce yourself to the resident NPCs here. Elthossar Youngstar is the Kill Collector here. Career Trainer Sunael Shadowhelm will teach you new skills upon leveling up, and Palanir Redsail heals your death trauma. A Merchant will take any unwanted goods you come across, and sell crafting supplies to those so inclined. Lorianis Brightdawn will have work for you, along with Ulinar Lonetree and Gaelnielle Whitewing.

Move inside the tower to receive more quests from Celwyn Pureheart. Don't miss the stairs behind her that wind down and down to a secret room where Rally Master Caduin Goldbough holds court. You can reset your Rally bind point here and check out the influence rewards for Chapter 4.

Time to head north out of the camp, back across the bridge. Follow the road up until it branches off to the west, which will lead you down to the Blackwood Hill Garrison Public Quest area. South of the Garrison in the mountain side is the entrance to Flamescale Caverns. There is a sneaky shortcut way to travel to and from the Chapter 4 camp, by following along the cliffs at the southern edge of the water.

You can find the next Public Quest by taking the side path east of Ushuru. Everstar Lake and The Everstar Stone will be along the way as you travel north up this island. Cross a bridge to arrive at the Elisia PQ on a tiny sliver of land, and help the residents reclaim their town from the invading Uthorin Dark Elves. If you have time, Make your way to the cliff to the southwest that overlooks Elisia, where you'll find A Memorial to Aenarion that will give you a Tome unlock.

Lyriana's Repose

Travel the road south of Ushuru, until you find the White Lion (the class, not the animal) Guardian Mefandir tucked in against some rocks. You'll be visiting him often as you complete several quests in this area. Beware the nearby white lions (the animals, not the class). Who knew? Not all of the lions are friendly to High Elves! Up on top of the outcropping just north of his position, you'll find a named Rank 9 Champion bear, and Rank 9 Champion eagle to kill. Mefandir will send you out to explore the nearby Dark Elf camp at Lyriana's Mansion, and down to the site of a High Elf and Dark Elf stand-off at Lyriana's Repose.

Not too far to the south is the last PQ for Chapter 4, Stone of Imrathir, where you'll do battle with the Dark Elf Arkaneth forces. You'll fight through this area to complete quests as well, one of which involves finding specific Rubrics on the ground beneath the standing stones.

Moving along the road south, you'll encounter another camp of Uthorin Dark Elves, which is the site of a few more quest objectives. On the opposite side of the road, Dark Elf Beastmasters herd their Ravaging Salamanders; really vicious lizards that like to knock you down. A circular  monument is nearby, with a fountain that wild white lions call home. Keep following this road up the hill, until you encounter the zone line to The Shadowlands.

The Shadowlands

No region of Ulthuan embodies the vivid and painful memories of the Sundering like the broken land once called Nagarythe. Some of the most noble and skilled elves of Ulthuan came from this prosperous realm, and when Malekith rose up in open rebellion, too many of them joined him. Soon brother fought brother in Nagarythe, for those still loyal to the true Phoenix King were now the enemies of Malekith's sworn servants. The broken land is but a reminder of the broken families and broken loyalties of Nagarythe, and it is little wonder that the survivors of that land, the Shadow Warriors, have become the most vicious and determined foes of the Dark Elves.

Mathrin's Watch

Zoning in to The Shadowlands from Chrace is a harsh lesson in contrasts. Where Chrace sports greenery and beautiful landscapes, Shadowlands is a dark and broken area. Everywhere the land smokes from the devastating fires that reduced the once grand trees into bare trunks. The High Elves fight despair over the land, in addition to the beasts and Dark Elf enemies.

You enter Shadowlands in the midst of fierce fighting. If you hurry, though, you can move right through the troops on your way down the road. Don't get curious when you see the giant Blackheart Hydra to your left; he is a Rank 17 Hero with friends. Keep moving down the road until you find the High Elf Camp of Mathrin's Watch. Welcome to the headquarters for High Elf Chapter 5. Make your first stop at Thesoryn Shadowseer, to turn in a quest and pick up another. Standing next to her are Merchant Marsonthan Greendale and Career Trainer Indarys Longroad. Pop your head inside the tent to say your hellos to Rally Master Mathrin Leafwind, the namesake for the camp and point of contact for Chapter 5. Celorn Slenderwand collects kills, Galadhen Liubar heals your wounds near the campfire, and several more NPCs offer quests.

Down the hill east of the camp, you'll find Giant Bats and Scorpions to fight, while just west is a lone Manticore. On the other side of the road lies the ruined town of Mirelen, the first Public Quest in Chapter 5. Build up your influence here while you work through several quest objectives. Continue across the land northwest until you reach PQ #2: Broken Dune. You'll face an army of undead Skeletons here, all while trying to retrieve crystals and find a lost Elven soldier. To the south against the mountains is a strange fortification patrolled by Dark Elf Champions, with a named Manticore flying overhead. Don't venture near without a strong group of friends. On the hill above is a large statue surrounded by Harpies, with a crystal skull that you'll want to examine for a quest.

Make your way back across the road to the southeast to arrive at the Cold Hearted Predators PQ. Indulge that inner treehugger, and rescue helpless animals from the jaws of the giant reptile beasts. Make sure you max out your influence here and grab your rewards, before moving on to the next area.

Sorrowstrand

The small, but functional camp of Sorrowstrand is your jumping off point for Chapter 6. Rally Master Captain Nenthuil trains young troops in the camp, and will issue out the earned Influence rewards. Warm your hands at the fire as you talk to Ciaren Mournleaf about some treehugger-type quests. Anselis Starseer wants help to restore a legacy, while inside you must save Scholar Riana from attacking Assassins (hint: Finish turning in your quest to her, before killing the assassins. Otherwise they will just keep spawning). Find the Shadow Warrior Sarisil Strongoak to run a few missions, and seek out Shenassa Blesswind to work on the Kill Collector quests. The camp also has a Career Trainer, Merchant and Healer on standby.

Down the hill west of the camp is the first PQ. The Laurillion Caves are overrun with Spitesteel enemy. Cross the road to the east, and fight through a swarm of spiders to rescue the trapped High Elf, Thana Soreyn (hint: Be sure to hail her again to complete the quest. This part is not obvious). Continue east towards Dread Lake where several camps of Dark Elves and Cold Ones surround the area.

Across the road and west is the next Public Quest, Broken Spirits, in which you'll end the lives of many Dryads and Spites.  The PQ area spirals around a plateau, and several of your regular quests will take you here. You may have trouble spotting the roots and thorns you need to gather, so make sure to look down and turn your monitor brightness up. Below the PQ hill is a camp of Witch Elves and their High Elf prisoners that you can help rescue.

Keep traveling down the road until you see Elder Heradien sitting down just west of the road, to turn in a quest and earn a tome unlock. A little further on you'll pass an entrance into the zone's Open RvR area. Directly across the road from here is the entrance to the final Chapter 6 PQ: Forgotten Future. You'll spend a good amount of time in these ruins, working through a bunch of quests, and looking for secret hidden (tiny) pieces of rock on the ground.

Once you have completed all of the work in this chapter, you'll be ready to move on to Chapter 7. Follow the road down through Dragon Pass, towards Skyblade's Hold .
