The Pyramid of the Ancients resides in the eastern regions of Khopshef Province. The self-proclaimed Oracle of Derketo has led his followers to this area. Many times these followers will vanish never to be heard from again. Entombed within this Pyramid lies an ancient evil imprisoned long ago that now stirs in the shadows once more. By adventuring into the Pyramid of the Ancients you will uncover the deception of the Oracle of Derketo and learn the story of Lord Atum-Keket. Assemble your allies and when you are ready, enter the Pyramid in Khopshef Province at coordinates (1256,799). Upon entering, the first thing you will see is a few lashers chasing out topless Harem Girls making it one of the breast...er best entrances ever.
| Quest Table | Boss Table |
1st
Floor
The first floor of the Pyramid is where
you will encounter the first of five Oracle
Manifestation that will be
sent from Lord Atum-Keket to
stop you from proceeding any further. The
first floor is a fairly small area, but it will be a place for you to
collect a couple of quests before proceeding deeper into the Pyramid.
The battle with the Oracle
Manifestation will be the only major battle of this area. All
other enemies are common fights.
| Quest Giver | Deli Pyramid of the Ancients (165, 459) |
| Quest Text | In the Pyramid of the Ancients, I met a strange fellow named Deli. Deli is obviously insane and claims that he only eats eyes. He asked me to bring him eyeballs, and in exchange he will trade me the "shiny" that he found. I should collect a good number of eyeballs from throughout the Pyramid and bring them back to Deli to claim my prize. |
| Task | Collect 100 Eyeballs |
| Rewards | Shiny Jewel |
Nearly everything in the Pyramid will drop two eyeballs, so this quest is easy to complete while you make your way through the zone. Simply kill any and everything you come across, collect the buffet of eyeballs and return them to that sick freak Deli.
|
You will encounter many spike traps on the second floor. |
2nd
Floor
On the second floor there will be greater challenges to face
as you will encounter more bosses and an area of poison filled
corridors complete with floor spike booby traps. As you make your way
through this level of the Pyramid you will come
across each of these new challenges.
Poison
Filled Corridors
Throughout the second floor you will encounter corridors
filled with a green mist of poison. The best way to get through this is
to run through and stop at the various pockets of fresh air often
located in the corners and turns along the hallways to recover.
Bringing along a few healing and stamina potions for this run is also
very useful and can save you in a pinch and keep you from running out
of gas in a gas filled pocket.
Floor
Spike Traps
While exploring the second floor you will inevitably encounter several
spots
that have been booby trapped with spikes that will activate if you step
on them. The best way to spot these traps
is to look for small holes along the floor. With each trap there is
usually a path around it that you can take to avoid becoming a human
pin cushion.
To reach Shali you will have to run through a little poison gas. The poison areas have pockets of fresh air that you can stop and rest at located mostly in corners. Just don't stop in the gas to long as it will do quick damage to you. Shali is found chained to the wall topless on the second floor with the boss mob Thak at coordinates (90,184). Slay Thak and she will tell you where to find the key to her shackles.
|
Thak guards Shali on the second floor. |
Location: 2nd Floor (90,184)
Thak is a level 39 oversized ape and a fairly easy boss to defeat as he is pretty much strait melee and crush damage. All you need to do for him is tank and spank. As long as your healers keep the tank up you will have no problem with this boss.
After Thrak is dead Shali will tell you that you must retrieve a key from the Master Torturer (184,130) in the torture chamber. Kill the Master of Torture, loot the key, then return to Shali to free her.
Known Loot:
Bane of the Destroyer
Thak's Iron Fist
Boss
- Master of Torture
(Level 39)
Location: 2nd Floor Torture Room (184, 130)
The Master Torturer mainly deals slash and crush damage. His only other two skills are called Savage Blight and Ravaged Barrier. The fight is a pretty easy one and can be carried out in standard tank and spank fashion.
Known Loot:
Hunger
Torturer's-Mace
| Quest Giver | Shath-Hoten Kopshef Province (1256, 678) |
| Quest Text | A man named Shath-Hoten, has been searching for his brother Menamon, who went missing shortly after he came to join the Oracle's followers. Menamon was last seen entering the pyramid and has not been outside for some time. I have offered to keep an eye out for Menamon if I find my way into the Pyramid. |
| Task |
|
| Rewards | Experience: 7354 Money: 51c 56t |
What's left of Menamon can be found on the 2nd floor at coordinates (183,133) in the torture room. You'll find his mutilated body on the slab and his various extremities scattered on the ground around the room. Careful of where you stand! One of the pieces is placed over a spike trap that will activate when stepped on and easily kill you if you stand on it too long. You can spot the trap area by examining the floor for several holes. Each hit from the trap will do around 725 points of damage.
| Quest Giver | Ziyad Kopshef Province (1253, 690) |
| Quest Text | Ziyad the Scholar told me of the Ancient Ones and their ability to control the weather. He suspects that a trace of their magic for changing the seasons lingers in the Pyramid. I offered to try and capture this magic for Ziyad; he accepted my offer and promised to pay me for my help. He also gave me something that he calls an "Essence Trap". According to Ziyad, I need to place the trap and then manage to get the Essence into its radius. The trap will take care of the rest. I should enter the Pyramid and search for the magic of the four seasons. |
| Task |
|
| Rewards | Experience:
7354 Money: 51c 56t |
To complete this quest you will need to locate the four elements in the Pyramid and capture them with the Essence Trap given to you by Ziyad. Map the item to your hotbar for easy use when you encounter one of the elements. When you find one, use the trap to capture it. You don't need to chase them, simply lay the trap in their path and after a little moving around, they will float right into it. The locations for the four are the same but at times different Essences will spawn at each location. All four essences can be found on the 2nd floor of the Pyramid.

The Hourglasses will alter the way time flows in certain areas. |
3rd
Floor
The 3rd floor will provide you with a new set of challenges
such as time altering hourglasses and new bosses. This area is not
that large but there are several challenges put in place here and one
specifically you must complete to be allowed to reach the final battle.
Glass
of the Hours
As you progress
through the 3rd floor of the Pyramid you will
often encounter several oversized hourglasses that will alter time in
a variety of ways. In some cases time will slow causing you to move at
a decreased movement speed. In other cases it may speed up movement of
you or your enemies. Destroying these hourglasses will remove their
effect on the surrounding area.
Boss
- Cult Swordmaster
(Level 39)
The Cult Swordmaster is in the first room of the third floor and will be the first major enemy you will face on this level. He is guarded by several minion dogs as well as a time slowing hourglass. Destroy the hourglass and the minions before you attack him to eliminate his advantage in this room.
This enemy deals slash and crush damage but also has a knockback ability and an ability called Breech which can decrease all of your Melee Invulnerability by 4%. This can be offset with certain buffs but the battle shouldn't be to difficult as long as you eliminate the enemies in the room and destroy the hourglass before engaging. After that you will have very little trouble disposing of this foe.
Known Loot:
Spellmaster's Flambard
Bane of the Spell Master
Boss
- Cult Spellmaster
(Level 39)
The Cult Spellmaster can be found in the second full room of the third floor and he has several dog minions guarding him. There is also another hourglass that increases the speed of the enemies in the room. Destroy it and slay the minions before you attack the Cult Spellmaster to eliminate his advantage. This enemy has several spells in his arsenal such as Disintegrate, a direct damage spell that is a pretty decent damaging nuke. He also deals melee crush damage, but he shouldn't prove to be much trouble as long as your group eliminates his hourglass and minions.
Known Loot:
Spellmaster's Dagger
| Quest Giver | Soiled
Letter Pyramid of the Ancients (218,482) |
| Quest Text |
Whilst exploring the Pyramid of the Ancient Ones, I found a scribbled letter, which reads as follows: "The Oracle knows! I saw it in his eyes as he preached today. I must flee! The last time he found a spy in the pyramid, he performed the Ritual of Conflagration. I shudder to think that such a fate awaits me if I do not make my escape swiftly. To be cursed to roam these corridors for an eternity… I have nightmares of eternal flame. If I do not make my way to freedom, if my corpse lies headless upon the floor, then I lay an undertaking on the shoulders of the one who finds this note. Find my Conflagrant Visage. Strike me down to end my misery. For I, Kalis of Khemi, no longer exist…" It seems that Kalis's fears have indeed come to pass. I should find the Conflagrant Visage and destroy it. |
| Task | Destroy the Conflagrant Visage |
| Rewards | Experience: 7345 Money: 51c 56t |
The Conflagrant Visage roams the third floor halls pathing
between the main hallway and the large room with the hourglass at
coordinates (22,414). First destroy the
Glass of the Hours if you haven't already done so to remove the debuff
that it gives and then
destroy the Conflagrant Visage to free Kalis's tormented soul..
| Quest Giver | Guardian
Statue Pyramid of the Ancients (72, 488) |
| Quest Text | I encountered an ancient statue on the uppers floor of the pyramid. To my surprise, the statue could actually speak! It told me the story of how it was placed to guard the tomb of Lord Atum-Keket and keep it sealed. The statue told me that its eyes, two Flawless Emeralds, have been stolen by the men who walk the halls. I should find the Emeralds and help to restore the power of the Guardian Statue. I can find the Emeralds somewhere on the lower floor. |
| Task | Locate the Two Emerald Eyes |
| Rewards | Opens the Door to the 4th Floor |
The Guardian Statue that has kept Lord Atum-Kektet imprisoned within the Pyramid has been robbed of its eyes by thieves. Because of this, Lord Atum-Keket has been able to stir once more. You will need to aid the statue by retrieving its eyes from the thieves that have taken them within the Pyramid. The two eyes can be found on the two Emerald Guardian bosses on the second floor.
|
The Emerald Guardian's hold the Guardian Statue's eyes. |
Boss
- Emerald Guardian
(Level 39)
Location: 2nd Floor (85,136)
When you reach the first Emerald Guardian you will notice that the path to him is blocked by a large number of spike traps. Here is the upside, from the edge of the trap area you will notice an hourglass on the other side. This hourglass accelerates your movement speed by 75%. This will allow you and your group to run across the trapped area and only take 1 or 2 hits from it. Just make sure you run towards the left side of the hourglass to avoid aggroing the boss who is just in and to the right. By doing this you can make it across and heal up before you engage the enemy.
The Emerald Guardian is a pretty much a tank and spank fight. He deals mainly slash and crush damage and has a skill that can decrease your Unholy Invulnerability by 1%. This enemy also has an attack that can drain your stamina, so bringing stamina potions for the fight is advised. One thing to make sure you do is fight with your back to the wall as he does use knockback and one bad hit will send you flying into the surrounding spike traps and that can bring a nasty end to your adventure.
Known Loot:
Endurance
Umbral Bronze-studded Fauld
Guardian Right Eye (Quest item)
Boss
- Emerald Guardian
(Level 39)
The second Emerald Guardian can be found in the hallway directly across from the first. Like the last Guardian, you will also find an hourglass here and another set of spike traps. Don't destroy the hourglass here as it slows your movement speed by 75% and will allow you to walk the safe path around the traps without moving to fast and getting shanked by spikes. Just make sure you don't slip and step on the spikes as the slowed movement speed could prove to be fatal with such a mistake.
The battle with this guardian is a little different than the other, but the knockback rule still applies. Keep your back against the wall unless you want to take a nap on a bed of spikes. This guardian deals slash and crush damage but also has the Dulling Blow attack which will decrease the target's physical damage output by 5.2.
After you kill the Emerald Guardian, exit the room the same way you came in and make your way back up to the third floor. As you make your way back to the Guardian Statue you will encounter the third and fourth Oracle Manifestations on the third floor. Once you reach the statue you will learn one of the gems has been cracked and instead of sealing the tomb the statue has inadvertently opened it further and allowed Lord Atum-Keket to escape. Guess who gets to go stop him. Completing this quest will open up the final door just across the hall from the statue. Enter it and face your final challenge.
Known Loot:
Umbral Canvas Cloak
Guardian Left Eye (Quest Item)
Battling
Lord Atum-Keket
The 3rd floor is where you will face your
final challenge and do battle with Lord Atum-Keket, but before you can
face
him there are a few things you must first do. You will need to defeat
his manifestations all three floors and
collect their wards for the final battle with Lord Atum-Keket. The
final two Oracle Manifestations will not spawn until you collect the
two "Emerald Eyes" and make your
way back to
the third floor. It is there you will encounter them as you try to
reach the Guardian Statue.
Boss
- Oracle Manifestation
(Level 38)
|
You will face need to face the Oracle Manifestations to gain the Wards needed for the final battle. |
Location: 1st Floor (216,433)
The first of the four Oracle Manifestations will be encountered on the first floor just past the entrance. This enemy casts Unholy magic and is a pretty simple fight. Slay him and take the Ward of Corruption for the final battle.
Known Loot:
Ward of Corruption
Mocking Warclub
Boss
- Oracle Manifestation
(Level 39)
Location: 2nd Floor (130,122)
This enemy uses Holy magic and tries to draw you into the trap just behind him which does major damage, so don't follow too closely. Once defeated he will drop the Ward of Piety.
Known Loot:
Ward of Piety
Stormforged Long Bow
Boss - Oracle Manifestation
(Level 39)
Location: 3rd Floor (24,356)
This Oracle spawns after you have the two Emerald Eyes. The third manifestation will make use of fire attacks and a spell called Repenting that deals Holy damage. The battle is pretty simple. Just be mindful of his magical damage. As long as your healers are paying attention he shouldn't prove to be much of a problem. Once defeated he will drop the Fire Ward.
Note: This Oracle will not spawn until you have the two Emerald Eyes in hand.
Known Loot:
Fire Ward
Tenacious Cured Armbands
Replenishing Iron-cored Quarterstaff
Boss
- Oracle Manifestation
(Level 39)
Location: 3rd Floor (72, 461)
This manifestation deals cold damage and is very fond of the spell Freeze. Any Cold Invulnerability buffs will be useful here. Aside from that just tank and spank it and you'll bring it down pretty quick. Once defeated he will drop the final ward called the Frost Ward.
Note: This Oracle will not spawn until you have the two Emerald Eyes in hand.
Known Loot:
Frost Ward
Frostwrought Heavy Bolts
Boss - Oracle Manifestation
(Level 40)

Lord Atum-Keket will be your final challenge inside the Pyramid. |
Location: 3rd Floor Inside Lord Atum-Keket's room. (74,438)
This final Oracle can be found inside of the room that you will face Lord Atum-Keket on the 3rd floor. You will need to face him before the Lord will show himself. This fight is pretty simple and he primarily uses fire attacks such as Flamestrike. Take him down and ready yourselves for the final battle as Lord Atum-Keket will spawn as soon as he takes enough damage.
Location: 3rd Floor (74,438)
Once you defeat the final Oracle Manifestation Lord Atum-Keket will spawn instantly. This will be the toughest fight thus far but there are a few things you can do to make it a little easier. The first thing is to be aware that two minions will spawn every 25secs at which point Lord Atum-Keket will teleport to another corner in the room. You will need the 4 wards that dropped off of the manifestations earlier so make sure you place those on the hotbar before going into this battle. At 100% of the Lords health cast the Ward of Corruption, at 75% of the cast Ward of Piety, at 50% cast Fire Ward and at 25% cast Frost Ward. If these are cast at these times, Lord becomes a lot easier and can be beaten with a tank and spank approach. Just remember to use your wards and manage the adds and you will have this Pyramid purged of evil spirits before you know it.
Known Loot:
Thirst
Lord Atum-Keket's Cape
